While we provide care and support to people living with HIV/AIDS, we realized that it was not enough and that something indeed had to be done to help the infected person and his family of dependents sustain financially. We have witnessed our patients losing their means of livelihood and facing additional stress of trying to make their ends meet. Till the time we can provide them with financial stability, it will be difficult to help them lead a healthy and productive life. 

As an NGO with vast experience in the field of HIV/AIDS we find that economic self sustenance for HIV positive person and his/her family is vital.  This is particularly important for the women who often without any education and professional experience are faced with the responsibility of running the household when they husbands are ailing and jobless. It is with this objective in mind that Action India started an Income Generating Project to ensure that people living with HIV/AIDS are self sustained. 

With the support of Australian High Commission, Action India is now in the process of setting up a Printing Press in the Premises of ‘Ashraya’ – Action India’s Holistic Care Home. Not only will this help in providing employment to People infected and affected by HIV but the profits generated will be sourced into Care and Support Programs meant  for HIV positive people.
