Tuberculosis is the most common opportunistic infection suffered by those infected with HIV. It is estimated that 60% of those infected with HIV will be suffering from Tuberculosis sometime in their life. Action India started a T.B. DOTS Programme in the month of November, 2003 catering to the areas of Rajokari, Kapashera and Mahipalpur. Till date we have successfully treated four patients and twenty patients are on intensive medication.

Our Outreach workers conduct home visits and ensure that not even a single dose is missed by any patient. After all that is our mission is not just to treat but also to eradicate drug resistant tuberculosis.
